Tony Robinson OBE - Founder
Tony champions the importance of meeting the learning and skills needs of prospective and existing small and home business owners and driving up the quality of learning and business support for them. He received an OBE for services to small firms and training in 2001. He co-founded and has developed the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI) from 1995, acting firstly as Chief Executive and then, since 1999, as Chairman.
Ruth Lowbridge - Executive Director
Ruth is an entrepreneur with over fifteen years experience working with, developing and supporting enterprising companies across the UK. She's passionate about helping small companies realise their potential.
Elsa Caleb FIBC FRSA - Director and Chair
Elsa Caleb is the founder and Managing Director of ECJ Associates, a business consultancy specialising in delivering business development and support to SMEs. She has over 15 years of experience in business consultancy spanning numerous business sectors.
Leigh Sear - Director and Advisory Board Chair
Over the last ten years, Leigh has developed extensive experience of leading and managing research and development projects for a variety of local, regional, national and international public sector organisations.
Robert Ashton - Director
Robert is an author, entrepreneur, speaker and activist. He is fascinated by people and enjoys helping them become more enterprising. ‘It doesn’t matter if they’re growing a business, starting a social enterprise, or just want to get more out of life’, he says, ‘they’ll get there faster if they’re entrepreneurial in their approach.’ He brings a unique blend of common sense, humour and sound business acumen to SFEDI.
Nigel Hudson - Associate Director / Secretariat
Nigel is a founder and Research Director of Stratagia Ltd, and has along history of working alongside SFEDI.
