Important Changes to SFEDI Reaccreditation

As of January 2010 maintaining ‘Gold’ status on the SFEDI National Directory will become more accessible as we have moved away from Reaccreditation to a new approach following consultation and research with the business support community. This new approach is a significant change and will be a ‘Re-approval’ of individuals who hold a SFEDI Endorsed Award or Qualification and are listed on the SFEDI National Directory.

Full details of the Re-approval process can be found by downloading this downloadable guidance document

As a Business Support Professional who has undertaken one of our Endorsed Awards or Qualifications you will be only too aware of the significant recognition the SFEDI badge carries within the business support community.  We at SFEDI are keen to ensure anyone has access to this information around recognition and SFEDI Approval of Business Support Professionals and this is why we created the SFEDI National Directory, where all successful completers of SFEDI Awards and Qualifications are listed.  The SFEDI National Directory offers further quality assurance in that it ensures anyone listed there is actively maintaining their knowledge and developing their practice, as all individuals listed are required to ‘reaccredit ‘ every 2 years, as you will be aware.  However this process has changed, which is why we write to you now, to inform you of new developments and ease of access to the SFEDI National Directory.  We are aware that previously time and cost have been barriers for many individuals wishing to retain their status on the SFEDI National Directory.

As of January 2010 listing on the SFEDI National Directory of Business Support Professionals will be achieved through a process of ‘Re-approval’, this is detailed in this downloadable guidance document and is primarily concerned with Continued Professional Development and does not require individuals to meet with and be observed by a SFEDI Assessor – thus bringing SFEDI activity into line with other similar ‘professional services’ and makes for easier access whilst still ensuring quality.
