VACANCY: SFEDI Group seeking to appoint Chief Executive
We are seeking a Chief Executive of SFEDI Group who will expand, integrate and develop the reach, influence, revenue and profitability of existing and future SFEDI companies and all associated SFEDI intellectual property.
SFEDI Enterprises Limited and the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative Limited are independent companies owned by entrepreneurs who have a single aim of improving the quality and quantity of enterprise training and support in the UK. Underpinning this aim is influencing policy and practice recognition that working for yourself is a positive and valid career choice, at any age, which can be achieved by gaining the skills, know how and support to ensure your enterprise survives and thrives
We are seeking a Chief Executive of SFEDI Group, reporting to co-owners, Tony Robinson and Ruth Lowbridge, who will expand, integrate and develop the reach, influence, revenue and profitability of existing and future SFEDI companies and all associated SFEDI intellectual property. The Chief Executive of SFEDI Awards, our independent, Ofqual approved Awarding Organisation for Enterprise and Enterprise support will report to the new Chief Executive.
It is essential that the applicant is an entrepreneur with a full
understanding of the enterprise skills and support sector. The successful
candidate is likely to have had recent experience of running and developing an
enterprise, which they have owned or co-owned, that has more than one of the
following income streams: research, consultancy, membership, training,
networking or enterprise support. If an applicant is currently running their
enterprise then we are willing to discuss terms that allow it to be either
integrated within the SFEDI Group or left self standing whilst managing our
mutual aspirations.
Although the Chief Executive will have our small team and resource
in our Aycliffe and Sheffield offices available to them, we require someone who
is self sufficient, influential with leaders in the private sector and government
on enterprise skills and support, can make deals, present at major conferences,
project and account manage and write winning bids and proposals. The incumbent
must be based in London and must share SFEDI values and desire to grow the
SFEDI brand so that our logo is further respected as signifying quality in
enterprise training and support, both in the UK and internationally.
Salary and profit share terms are by negotiation with the
