Buzzing With the Entrepreneurs, or 18 years old and 'up for it'!
'Leonora Soculitherz's compulsory page-turner is an expose of the BAB Directors from her shadowing them for a full year.
It is a triumph. It takes the reader into the real world of entrepreneurs to find out what makes them tick and reveals why the management gurus are disappearing up their own posteriors. Leonora has struck a fine balance by maximising the contribution of the perceptive, witty and glamorous Clare Francis whilst minimising the space given to the unintelligible rants and dribbling clichés from Britain's greatest style disaster, Tony Robinson. It has plenty of illustrations to make it readable to those in the City and a delight for the well-to-do thinking of taking a cultural break in Scarborough. Brilliant value for money, this book has a cracking pace to it and I especially liked the large typeface. There is an excellent glossary of terms used which is particularly helpful for the passages on creativity and innovation featuring George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld. Gleaned from entrepreneur clients of BAB Limited are seven categories of best business practice and a handy top ten tips for doing your own PR and copywriting. There are even short, simple sections, in bold lettering, for government and small business learning and support policymakers. These sections propose new ways to improve small business learning and skills support. These include the creation of a new business support infrastructure, an Institute of Business Support, an Entrepreneurs Academy and an elite national corps of awesome business coaches. All this is supported by a new public funding model. I finished the 116 pages of this 'to die for', smart, neat and exceptionally well priced volume (£7.50) feeling that I'd been through an emotional roller coaster, an intellectual wringer and an entrepreneurial spin dryer and all with a smile on my face. Leonora Soculitherz is bound to have yet another award winner and best seller in 'Buzzing with the Entrepreneurs'. My mother and I aren't the only ones who just can't wait for Leonora's sequel which has a working title of 'Honey and life tastes sweeter with Tony Robinson out of the way!'.
